Don was a Partner at Bell Gully in Wellington for 20 years before joining Hamish in Partnership in 2003 for 5 years. He then returned to Wellington in 2008 (for schooling for his teenage children) to be a Partner at Kensington Swan in their RMA team before he and his wife Anna embarked on a 4 year overseas stint (after his children had left home) working in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Perth in the construction and mining industries as an in-house lawyer on short term secondments through a recruitment company. Don and Anna have now returned to the Tasman Region for good.

Don is a specialist civil litigator and RMA lawyer and has also undertaken major legal panel reviews for Pharmac and Wellington City Council. Don is also noted as a specialist in the wind farm industry.

He has also successfully resolved a wide range of legal disputes through his skills in mediation.
