Tim Jeffcott




Tim Jeffcott is an old boy of Nelson College and has always wanted to return to his roots.

Tim specialises in Civil Litigation, including Commercial Litigation, Disputes Resolution, Technology and Corporate Law, Relationship Property and Employment Law. He has over 20 years experience in the District and High Courts of New Zealand as well as being a referee in the Disputes Tribunal, and is available for appointment as an arbitrator or mediator in civil disputes.

Tim brings to the table strong analytical skills together with broad commercial litigation and dispute resolution experience. Tim has the ability to set and meet deadlines which he believes, is key to doing the best possible job for the client. He has clear and effective communication skills, is thorough and super efficient.

Tim’s wide experience in the area of mediation has been solidified after a three year term as a Disputes Tribunal Referee based at the Auckland District Court.

In the area of mediation, Tim is skilled at quickly getting to the issues in dispute, meaning he is able to assist the parties to a resolution in a timely and cost effective manner.  He has been involved in dispute resolution in many different contexts including:

Tim’s move to the South Island means he will be closer to extended family. He is looking forward to exploring the beautiful parts of the region with his partner Ronnie while continuing his interest in breeding Siamese cats and enjoying the art of Thai cooking.
