TOUCH RUGBY

Rebecca Kersten is one of those teenagers who doesn't have a spare minute in her life but that's the way she likes it!

At the tender age of 15, she was asked this month to trial for the NZ Women's Touch Rugby Team.  She has already played for the NZ Under 17 team at the Australian State Championships where she received dual accolades of MVP and Players Player awards.

At Nelson College for Girls Rebecca received the Touch Player of the Year award for 2011 as well as Colours plus Service and Contribution to Touch Rugby.

Other achievements include Athletics, Hockey, Netball and Basketball.  Rebecca doesn't just excel on the sports field but has gained her NCG Merit award every term for attitude and effort in class.

Here at Hamish Fletcher Lawyers we encourage youth to reach for the stars and we will continue to sponsor Rebecca in her dream to achieve her highest level in Touch Rugby.

Update: December 2011: Rebecca made the NZ Women's Touch Rugby team training squad and must now travel to training sessions in Auckland before the final team is announced in early 2012.
